. fill me in. >> reporter: well, the latest, brooke, is that los angeles county sheriffs investigators have interviewed 70 current and former soccer players at la p t pepen puente high school. they say it appears hazing was going on in the soccer program for years and that some of it may have risen to the level of criminal conduct. four boys at the time of the alleged incident, three of them still minors today, one of them an adult, were questioned, cited and lease ereleased as the investigation is ungoing. also an unnamed teacher or staff member at this school has been placed on temporary administrative leave while the investigation continues. some of the boys who say they were victims of this alleged abuse, this hazing, say it was a ritual for members of the team who made varsity. >> they told me if i wanted it the easy way or the hard way the varsity team. in that moment, my heart was, like, pounding and, like, i just, like, kind of, like, blacked out and i said -- i told them -- i just remember telling them, i want it the easy way. but i tried to run, but, like, they got me back.

to the developing story northeast of los angeles. the red cross setting up an evacuation center as the massive wildfire marches out of control. spreading across the angeles national forest. more than 4,000 acres have now been burned. and abc's david wright is there on the front lines to show us just how dangerous this fire is becoming. good morning to you, david. >> reporter: good morning, josh. we're at a staging area for some of the 500 firefighters that are battling this blaze. tough going for them. over the past few heres, we have watched as the flames have kroempt thcrept over that hillside. labor day weekend up in smoke in the san gabriel valley. campers, hikers, and holiday picnickers all had to evacuate. >> we saw the smoke next to us. and we started packing. >> reporter: 12,000 visitors normally come here for the holiday weekend. three hikers were stranded behind the fire lines. the fire department launched a rescue helicopter and found them, hoisting all three to safety in two hours. the steep terrain makes the fire spread quickly. about 4,000 acres consumed so far. and it's tough to

"endeavour" flew 123 million miles during 25 flights over its history after it came off the assembly line in 1991. and this is, by far, one of its shortest flights cross country, as you mentioned, on the back of that 747. it's definitely kind of a victory tour of sorts, lifting off from the kennedy space ceer. about 7:20 am this morning, heading cross country. it flew over the space center in mississippi first. as you mentioned. then it went over the louisiana area, new orlea. assembly plant where they built the giant external tanks for the shuttle. and from here, it's on to houston. it will fly over the houston area in just a little while. probably about an hour from now, making several passes, flies over hughouston. and then ultimately landing at the ell ichington field near th johnson space center so folks there can get a look at "endeavour" before it takes off tomorrow morning. tomorrow morni
